Here are a few other ways you can get involved with Amana Kids:

• Sponsor an Amana Child; Sponsor one or more children for a whole year at a cost of US$420 per child. This will cover school and medical supplies, uniforms, basic health-care and nutrition for a full school year.

• Contribute to the Amana Endowment Fund:
  • Make a contribution (and get matching funds from your corporation, university or institution).
  • Make a contribution of ZAKAT during holy month of Ramadan.
  • Plan an event with AOKCC: a dinner, concert, etc. and raise money for the AOKCC Endowment Fund
• Volunteer: We are always looking for people with certain professional experience. In Ethiopia, those with professional experience in any of the following fields is welcome:
  • Education
  • Social work
  • Law
  • Health-care
  • Agriculture
    
  • Horticulture
  • Veterinary science
  • Banking
  • Solar energy
  • News gathering and dissemination: if you live in Harar and have internet access, we need someone to post information on this website on a regular basis.

Internationally, those with professional experience in fund-raising, proposal writing and business, banking or non-profit administration.

We are in need of, but not limited to, the following materials: School supplies, teaching aids and books, a school bus, clothing and medical supplies, solar panels, farm animals and office supplies.
